(SAN DIEGO, CA – September 4, 2019) – The San Diego Seals announced today that the team has re-signed forwards Connor Kearnan and Evan Messenger to one-year contracts and defenseman Graydon Bradley to a two-year deal, pending league approval.
“We’re excited to have this trio back for the 2019-20 season,” said general manager and head coach Patrick Merrill. “We saw continual growth from Connor throughout the year culminating with his best performance in the playoffs. We expect him to continue on this path and be a contributor on this team. All three understand our systems and the way we like to play, and we’re looking forward to seeing them at camp.”
Kearnan, 23, appeared in 12 games for the Seals in the team’s inaugural season. The 5-8, 180-pound forward registered six goals, 18 points and 29 loose balls. Kearnan was selected in the first round (eleventh overall) of the 2018 NLL Entry Draft.
Messenger, 23, has netted six goals in 11 career NLL games. The lefty was selected in the fourth round of the 2015 NLL Entry Draft and spent time on the Seals practice squad during the 2018-19 season.
Bradley, 22, appeared in three games for San Diego as a rookie. The 6-4, 185-pound defenseman registered nine loose balls, one caused turnover and one assist. Bradley was selected by the Seals in the second round of the 2018 NLL Entry Draft and spent the majority of the year on the Seals practice squad.
