Patrick Merrill - Head Coach & General Manager

Patrick Merrill

The Toronto, Ontario native was the first-overall pick in the 2002 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft. He played in 194 games for Toronto, Orlando and New York, registering 18 goals, 65 assists, 570 penalty minutes and 818 face-off wins.

A graduate of Mercyhurst College, Merrill won three NLL titles and four Mann Cup championships (Canadian Senior ‘A’ national) as a player.At the international level, he was part of Team Canada’s silver-medal-winning team at the 2010 World Field Lacrosse Championships in Manchester, England. A year later, he brought home the gold at the FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championships in Prague, Czech Republic.

Josh Sanderson - Offensive Coordinator & Dir. Player Personnel

Josh Sanderson

The Orangeville, Ontario native ranks second in National Lacrosse League history in assists (908), assists per game (3.39), and games played (268). A 19-year veteran who retired following the 2016 season, Sanderson set – and repeatedly broke – the League’s single-season assists record. His 83 helpers in 2015 are tied for the most in a year in NLL history.

Known by his peers and teammates as “Shooter,” Sanderson was a first-ballot NLL Hall of Fame inductee. He won two Champion’s Cups (2005 & 2009) and was a nine-time All-Pro. He recorded 60 or more points in every season from 2002 to 2015, including five 100-plus point campaigns which ranks tied for first in NLL history.

Bill Greer - Defensive Coordinator

Bill Greer

The Oshawa, Ontario native was the 9th overall pick in the 2001 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft. He played in 190 career games, registering 59 goals, 99 assists and 165 penalty minutes. The savvy defenseman won a Champion’s Cup with Rochester in 2007 and scored the game-winning goal in the championship game. Greer captured a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2011 World Indoor Lacrosse Championships.

Ryan Boyle - US Scout

Ryan Boyle is regarded as one of the smartest players in the history of lacrosse. He was selected 3rd overall by the San Jose Stealth in the 2004 NLL entry draft. In 2005 he was named NLL Rookie of the Year and won the rookie scoring title. Boyle played a total of 6 seasons in the NLL, in addition to 11 seasons in the MLL.

A graduate of Princeton University, Boyle was a 4-time All American and 2-time Ivy League player of the year. He is a 3-time member of Team USA, earning Gold medals in 2002 and 2010 and a Silver in 2006. Boyle has extensive experience with rising stars in the lacrosse world as the Co-Founder and CEO of Trilogy Lacrosse, and an ESPN lacrosse analyst.

Travis Gillespie - International Scout

A native of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Travis Gillespie has played lacrosse since the age of four. Gillespie is a two-time DII NCAA champion with Limestone College, as well as a three-time All-American. He was then selected fourth overall by the Columbus Landsharks in the 2002 NLL Entry Draft.

Travis has extensive experience in the international game, having been a part of Team Canada in the past, and now serving as the Head Coach of the Taiwan Lacrosse Association.
