The San Diego Seals announced today that the team has signed first-rounder Connor Fields to a two-year contract and have placed him on the Active Roster.
Fields graduated second all-time in Division I history in career points (364). He was a three-time Tewaaraton Trophy nominee and an All-American at the University at Albany. The 6-foot, 180-pound forward was the tenth overall pick in the 2018 NLL Entry Draft.
“I couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity,” said Fields. “I can’t wait to get out there, it’s been a long time coming. I’ve been learning a lot being able to watch the game but couldn’t be more excited to get on the floor with this group of guys and gear up for a playoff run.”
To make room for Fields, the Seals have placed defenseman Kyle Hartzell on the inactive roster.
The San Diego Seals are back in action tonight as the team heads to Mohegan Sun Arena to face the New England Black Wolves on Saturday night at 4:00 PM PT. San Diego returns home to Pechanga Arena San Diego on Friday, April 12 for the season-series finale against the Saskatchewan Rush. Reserve your seats today at SealsLax.com.
