It’s been six months since the San Diego Seals selected forward Connor Fields tenth overall in the 2018 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft, but could the Albany star be surfacing soon?
Fields, a starting attack for the Great Danes, was recognized as a top-three prospect for the 2018 NLL Draft, but after news broke of a knee injury, there was suddenly doubt surrounding the Tewaaraton finalist and his chances at the 2018-19 NLL season.
With three first-round picks, the Seals snagged Fields tenth overall knowing that there would be a waiting and recovery period before a highly-anticipated NLL debut.
Fields underwent ACL, MCL and meniscus surgery on August 1, 2018 and eight months later, just a few weeks ago, Fields was cleared by his doctors to play lacrosse again at full strength.
The Seals, who currently sit in first place in the West Division and recently clinched a playoff berth, will look for strength and depth to finish regular season play and gear up for a playoff run. Fields could be the skilled, talented piece necessary for a championship inaugural season.
Stay tuned Seals fans and lacrosse fans nationwide, Connor Fields could be surfacing soon.
